New Jersey Delaware Bay Fishing Report

28 Oct 2022

Our weekly video fishing forecast for October 13 for the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region begins with a short snippet from last week's forecast, and then barrels ahead for 10 minutes of striped bass discussion based on the most recent stampede of jumbo stripers at the Jersey Shore. Some have called it the best, most sustained, multi-day blitz of giant striped bass on bunker in decades, but they didn't arrive without a bit of a challenge for pluggers. As a reminder to all anglers along the Striper Coast, "snag and drop is dead" and the reason for the regulation is quite clear - reduce mortality in the "over slot" fish. While things have settled down a bit (9:03) since the weekend, more migratory stripers are arriving every day, and the open beaches should catch fire again in due time (though not sure if the giant tuna will be crashing the party again as well!) Our weekly Pocono Outdoors Guy report (10:53), a brief look at the NOAA Weather Forecast for the weekend ahead (13:05), and a quick chat about sea bass and porgies (14:15) as well as Jersey Shore tautog.
