Gaspar Yanga The Mexican Nat Turner 2

In what is now Mexico Gaspar Yanga was kidnapped into slavery but he was able to overtake his captives and win his freedom for himself and hundreds of others During the 1600's he fought against the colonizers and won In the late 19th century Yanga was named as a national hero of Mexico and The first liberator of America In 1932 the settlement he formed located in today's state of Veracruz was renamed as Yanga in his honor
